A typical characteristic Algarvian villa, tucked away in the valley of Quinta do Paraiso, Carvoeiro. The house has been remodelled with all of nowadays comfort.
A pool has been added and a dry garden has been designed around it. On the roof we created a "Açoteia” which is a terrace on top of a building, replacing the roof.
These are particularly common in Algarve houses and can have multiple uses, from collecting rain water to drying out fruit or use as a recreational space. It was the Arabs who introduced this architectural feature.
